FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chuckwalla Selected by TotalWorks, Inc. to Improve Catalog Production and Multi-Channel Marketing Services
SANTA CLARA, CA - October 17, 2005 – Chuckwalla Inc., a leading developer of enterprise digital asset management (DAM) technology, today announced that TotalWorks, Inc., a content management and publishing solutions company, has selected and implemented Chuckwalla v5 enterprise digital asset management system. Chuckwalla v5 enables TotalWorks to streamline the way it creates catalogs and customized marketing collateral for clients such as United Stationers, OfficeMax and ACE Hardware. Pages managed by Chuckwalla v5 are easily de-composed to the element level for brand content re-purposing across multiple channels, including customer-facing Web properties and business-to-business extranets.
“TotalWorks has a 78 year history of being page production experts, and we produce tens of thousands of customized pages a year,” said Gail Ludewig, President and CEO of TotalWorks. “But our future competitive edge lies in our ability to also provide content strategy services to our clients, and Chuckwalla will play a key role in that.”
The selection of Chuckwalla v5 came after an exhaustive search and multiple-month evaluations of other DAM systems. The key factor in TotalWorks’ selection of Chuckwalla v5 was its Microsoft.NET-based architecture, providing enterprise digital asset management as more than one hundred Web Service methods. Web Services enable quick customization and easy integration with other enterprise applications. Chuckwalla v5’s proven scalability and high availability were also critical to TotalWorks’ decision.
“TotalWorks is a recognized leader in outsourced catalog creation and production, whose successful adoption of technology is evident in the quality of its service offerings,” said Jon Lewis, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Chuckwalla, Inc. “We are delighted that TotalWorks has selected Chuckwalla v5 and are confident that this decision will help them optimize their existing production processes while extending their ability to offer multi-channel publishing services for their marketing customers worldwide.”
